Paid-up issues for almost CZK 100 million.

In that time, it has offered the opportunity to invest in its bonds and sustainable energy in Chile in a number of issues. It has already repaid the first four, worth more than 300 million, to its investors. But what else should we know about SOLEK’s bond programme? SOLEK has just celebrated five years since its first issue. But since 2017, not only have Chile’s power plants grown, but also the interest rates and the number of investors. “Individual investors are a vital part of SOLEK’s business strategy and I am glad that we could offer them the opportunity to participate in the Czech solar success in Chile,” says SOLEK founder and CEO Zdeněk Sobotka. Despite the fact that global players such as Nala Renewables and Black Rock, the world’s largest asset manager, have invested in SOLEK’s power plants, SOLEK is keen to continue working with retail investors. In June this year, for example, it offered a bond with the highest ever, 7% fixed interest rate and a three-year maturity. Solar continues to be one of the most conservative investments, and SOLEK’s issues show that investors are directly seeking them out. Indeed, even among the company’s individual notes, the ones with the longest maturity but highest yield are the most sought after. “We combine the advantages of investing in development projects and green technologies. On the one hand, it means certainty of return and on the other hand a chance for attractive portfolio diversification,” adds Václav Kopal from SOLEK.
