Itihue 2

The Itihue solar park, with a total installed capacity of 10.61 MWp, is another power plant by the SOLEK Group near the city of Quirihue in the Ñuble region, south of the Chilean capital, Santiago. The development of photovoltaics in the area goes hand in hand with Chile’s national climate goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. The Itihue project was completed in 2022 and was built under the PMGD regime for distributed energy resources, through which Chile ensures its energy security by diversifying power generation sources across its territory.
