The El Conquistador solar park, with a capacity of 2.97 MWp, is the third project by the SOLEK Group in the Ñuble region, north of the city of Quirihue. The development of photovoltaics in the area goes hand in hand with Chile’s national climate goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. The El Conquistador project is again being built under the PMGD regime for distributed energy resources, through which Chile ensures its energy security by diversifying power generation sources across its territory.
