Principles of the Job Responsibilities/Description of the Role
- Leader of the whole Construction department following the overall company structure (Construction managers for power plants, Quality, Commissioning, Logistic & Warehouses, and Local Procurement).
- Establish and manage the functional internal structure of the local Construction department including personal selection and hiring (in cooperation with the HR department).
- Responsible for the construction and commissioning of the PV power plants in accordance with the agreed Design, Overall Time Schedule, Budget, and Quality parameters (from the late development phase until the substantial completion milestone).
- Responsible for the local selection of the erection companies, negotiation of the contractual conditions (in cooperation with the Legal Department), manage the long-term sub-contracts via construction managers.
- Setting targets, objectives, and responsibilities for supervised staff
- Ensure the proper HSE system and activities related to the entrusted department.
- Managing customer/investor relations in coordination with the Prague office (Project Managers).
- Managing relations with the authorities to ensure the construction and commissioning of the PV plants on time and in accordance with local regulations and standards.
- Provide the lessons learned based on experience during the construction process, and feedback to the design department regarding the used technologies, local regulations, etc. to optimize project processes in coordination with headquarters.
- Support project logistics management and coordinate construction supplies via responsible managers.
- Ensure the progress and control reporting of the projects and alert the possible changes/risks to mitigate them in sufficient time.
- Ensure the final handover of the finished projects to the O&M department.
- Ensure that the works follow Solek standards (if not available, apply good engineering practices).
- Comply with SOLEK’s internal regulations regarding the handling and storage of information.
- Any other function or tasks that the nature of this position may entrust.
